Marketing Report: WAD Youth Camporee 2023

Babcock University Marketing team made a strong presence at the just concluded WAD Youth Camporee held December 24 - 30, 2023. The event which took place in Valley View University,  Ghana attracted over 8,000 participants from across 22-member countries. It also provided platform to showcase the University’s programmes and products to the public. Within five days, more than 200 people visited the booth and 163 amongst these expressed serious interest in our programmes. The Teamwork played a key role as the Head of International Students and Deputy Director of Communication worked with the Marketing team in translation for students from francophone countries as well as helped in promoting the university during a slot accorded to us during the week-long programme.

A hard and soft copy of the database of all those captured were also created. The WhatsApp platform is already up and active with potential students seeking further information for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Some of our alumni and foreign students also came in to provide volunteer support. All the flyers we brought were distributed and the souvenirs by raffle from our goody bags. The WAD Youth Director,  Pastor Anslem, the WAD Communication Director, Elder Abraham Bakri and his media team as well as  the Youth Director from the Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division Pastor Irving Gwatiringa gave their support.  We strongly believe that with these immense support, Babcock University is poised for greater diversity in student enrolment, better rating and public acceptance from our next academic session starting in August by God's grace. Thanks to the University administration for their support.

The team members were: Elder Joshua Umahi, Head of the International Students Unit, Deputy Director of Communication,  Ms Josephine Akarue and two Marketing Staff, Mr. Sadare Olabanji and Mr. Ogunbunmi Akinkunmi.
