From August 27-29, 2025, the Babcock Entrepreneurship Development Centre (BEDC) hosted the second edition of its flagship programme, Mindset-Change for Academic Development in Entrepreneurship (MADE 2.0), at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo.
Over 100 faculty members from 30+ departments participated in the three-day workshop designed to reorient lecturers towards embedding entrepreneurial thinking in their classrooms. Hosted by Dr. Ayodeji Ajibade (Director, BEDC) and led by Dr. Peter Bamkole with support from Dr. Helen Emore, the programme featured lectures, collaborations, fair competitions, and hands-on projects.
A special highlight was the involvement of young entrepreneurs. Anjola Ajayi, founder of ACAD AI, virtually showcased her AI-driven education tool, while Samuel Oyefusi from Pan-Atlantic University inspired faculty with his leadership journey and call to embrace innovation.
MADE 2.0 was supported by the British Council, De Montfort University, HEI Innovation, CcHub, and Babcock Consults. Faculty left recharged with new ideas for transforming teaching and learning, ensuring that Babcock graduates are not only academically sound but also equipped with creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial courage.
At BEDC, entrepreneurship is not just taught, it is lived, modeled, and spread across all disciplines. MADE 2.0 is another step toward shaping the future of education at Babcock University.
