Babcock University is proud to annonce that our faculty Dr. Aromoke Sanjo-Odutayo won a of £4,055.32 from Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) in partnership with National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) The grant is part of the 2024 Early Career Grants programme. Her research project is titled “To vaccinate or not: response of parents of school-aged girls to vaccination against Human Papillomavirus in Ilishan Town, Nigeria.” This funded project is set to explore the different experiences of parents of school-aged girls concerning the free single-dose HPV vaccine launched in October 2023 targeted at protecting young girls from cervical cancer. The project hopes to provide insight into parental vaccination approval, including how parents of young girls view the HPV vaccine and make the decision for for adoption of the vaccine for the children
