PARASITES AND VECTORS: THE SIAMESE TWINS THAT KILL SOFTLY - 44th Inaugural Lecture

This lecture focused more on parasites transmitted by vectors, They were described as two culprits using the phenomenon of Siamese twins which are responsible for illnesses and gradual death in man and other animals. These parasites belong to the group of protozoa which are often borne by vectors to reach their hosts, hence the diseases caused are referred to as vector-borne protozoa diseases which constitute serious threats to the health and socio-economic status of people.
