MISSION
The department as an integral part of the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences of Babcock University strives to contribute to the mission of the Adventist Church by producing competent male and female experts in Software applications/solutions development and maintenance adequately prepared to commit themselves to the service of God and play a disciplined and innovative part in the research and development of solutions across the world in IT.
VISION
It is the vision of the department to perform world-class research in selected areas of relevance and provide quality, cutting-edge educational experiences to students, and be leaders in IT.
B.Sc Software Engineering
The fast growing trend in both research and applications of IT from the perspective of hardware and software demands that IT programs in Babcock University have to be purpose and market driven, and research based with a well-defined focus on providing solutions to contemporary problems in both industry and academics. The department of Software Engineering running BSc (Hons) Software Engineering is established to fulfill these noble goals.
