World-renowned pianist and composer, Gale Jone Murphy was received with music and dance on her visit to Babcock University by the President/Vice Chancellor, Prof Afolarin Olutunde Ojewole; the Associate Vice President, Research Innovation and International Cooperation (RIIC), Prof Foluso Ojewole; the Dean of the School of Education and Humanity, Prof Olubunmi Idowu; the Head of the Department of Music and Creative Arts, Dr. Olusegun Ojuola, faculty, staff and students from the department.

During a tour of the music department and various campus locations, 72-year-old Gale Jones Murphy shared several remarkable moments. She showcased her musical talent on the piano and joined attendees in singing the theme song for the ongoing "Africa for Christ" program.
