Today Babcock University celebrates a legal colossus, philanthropist, and institution builder — Chief Wole Olanipekun, OFR, CFR, SAN.
50 years ago, he answered the call to the Nigerian Bar. Since July 1976, he has shaped our jurisprudence, mentored generations, and stood as a pillar of integrity, scholarship, and service.
From founding Wole Olanipekun & Co. in 1980, to serving as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State (1991 – 1992), President of the Nigerian Bar Association (2002–2004), and Life Bencher, his footprints can be traced across every hall of justice in Nigeria.
Beyond the courtroom, Chief Olanipekun’s heart for humanity is admirable. Through the ‘Wole Olanipekun Foundation’, he has provided access not just to justice alone, but education, and scholarships that have produced professionals across fields.
Congratulations, Chief! May the next chapter be even more impactful.
