The Office of Management Services support, encourage, and promote the University's mission and vision by interacting with staff, alumni, friends, parents, corporation government agencies and other stakeholders.


Our goal is to develop appropriate strategy that will engage and connect these constituents with the university to garner support and secure resources that will enhance Babcock University’s unique place in higher education in Africa.

Vision
To provide excellent leadership and assistance by increasing public understanding and support for BU through expert communication, stewardship, marketing, friends and fundraising.

Mission
To be the public voice of the University in the promotion of the understanding of our vision, mission, achievements and presentation of our needs to students, alumni, staff, friends, constituency and the world at large.

Philosophy
We believe in God as the giver of all good gifts; we believe in people as stewards of God’s gifts; we believe in creating opportunities for people to invest their God-given gifts by giving back to the society.

Development & Strategy Office comprises the following units:

Marketing & Communication
The vision for the Department of Marketing and Communication is to present the Babcock story and maintain the image of Babcock University in a compelling manner with a view to enhancing its brand equity and stay ahead of competitors in the area of student enrolment, staff recruitment and access to critical resources .

Succinctly stated, the bottom line for our marketing and communication strategy is to make the University more competitive, accessible and visible to the public.

Advancement/Alumni:
The office strives to create an excellent environment for communication network, one that keeps our alumni, friends and stakeholders connected for greater achievement.

The Advancement/Alumni office also coordinates and generates philanthropic support for the development of the University. In addition, the unit maintains a strong and vibrant relationship with the alumni members. We actively seek for support from individuals, including our alumni, companies, trusts and organizations for a variety of projects and programs. The Department is under the leadership of the Director of Advancement/Alumni.

Strategy
The department provides leadership for strategic planning as well as support the University’s communication and marketing efforts. In addition, this unit provides strategic and financial guidelines as well as actionable recommendations to the University.

Physical Planning
The department is saddled with the responsibility of planning, constructing, managing, operating and maintaining the physical assets (building, grounds and utility) of the university. The mission of this unit is to provide a conducive environment in which academic staff conduct cutting edge researches, and, affect local, national and International affairs positively. The department is under the leadership of the Director of Physical Planning.

Facilities Management
The major role of the department is to achieve an enabling environment that will allow the University to fulfill its objectives. An environment where the infrastructure is not only user friendly but also pleasing to the eye. Hence, the department is set up to implement programs, policies and procedures relating to the maintenance, repairs and management of the University’s buildings and facilities and also the University’s vehicles. The department is also involved in the allocation of residential and office spaces, rent administration of off-campus employee accommodation, as well as providing support in the development and execution of elements of the Campus Master Plan and long-range facility planning, in the area of planning and development of major new construction and /or refurbishment of old facilities.
